Terms of use

The conditions of using this site. Short, and mostly about not committing crimes. Last updated 3 August 2026.

Using the site

KashSec Academy is free to use for personal learning. No account is required, no payment is taken, and no permission needs to be asked to read anything here.

The site is provided as it is, with no warranty of any kind. It may be unavailable, it may contain errors, and it may change without notice.

Lawful use — read this one

This site teaches offensive security techniques, because you cannot defend a system you do not understand how to attack. Everything taught here is intended for systems you personally own, or systems whose owner has given you explicit, documented permission to test.

Accessing a computer system without authorisation is a criminal offence in most countries — including under the Computer Misuse Act in the UK, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act in the US, and the Information Technology Act in India. Curiosity is not a defence, "no harm was done" is not a defence, and neither is having learned the technique here.

You are solely responsible for what you do with anything you learn on this site. The author accepts no liability for it.

Accuracy

Security material dates quickly and this is written by one person. It is checked, but it is not peer-reviewed, and it is not professional advice. Do not rely on it for a decision that carries real risk — verify against vendor documentation and current advisories.

Certificates

The completion certificate this site generates is a personal record, not an accredited qualification. It is not issued by an examining body, it is not verified by anyone, and no employer is obliged to recognise it. It says you finished a free course, which is exactly what it should say.

Content and reuse

The lessons, labs, tools and code are the work of the author. You are welcome to read, quote and link to them, and to use them to teach yourself or someone else. Wholesale republication of the course as your own is not on.

Third-party names, tools and certifications mentioned throughout belong to their respective owners and are referred to descriptively.

Changes

These terms may be updated. The date above moves when they are.
