Resume/LinkedIn Keyword Helper

Paste a job description, see which security keywords you already cover (based on completed paths) and which are gaps.

Most security applications are filtered before a human sees them, on keyword overlap with the job description. That is not a reason to stuff your CV with terms you cannot defend — it is a reason to notice which real skills you already have and failed to name.

How to use it

  1. Paste a job description.
  2. Press Analyze.
  3. Review the extracted terms and check which of them your CV genuinely evidences.

What to take away

Only claim what you can be questioned on

Every keyword you add is a question you have invited in the interview. If you cannot talk for two minutes about it, leave it off.

Mirror their vocabulary

If the posting says "SIEM" and your CV says "log analysis platform", you are describing the same experience in a word the filter will not match. Use theirs.

Gaps are a study plan

Terms you do not recognise are the most useful output here. Look them up, and if they keep appearing across postings, that is your next path.

Frequently asked questions

Does keyword matching really decide applications?

It decides the first pass at many larger employers. It does not decide the interview — a CV that clears the filter and then cannot be defended fails later and more expensively.

What if I have no professional experience yet?

Labs, CTFs, home lab builds and write-ups all count as evidence. What matters is that you can describe what you did and what you learned, not who paid you for it.

Is my job description sent anywhere?

No. The analysis runs entirely in your browser.
